Thofe who living in ignorance and finne, and confequently in fpirituall bondage,pleafe them- felves as if they were free , John 8.33. and there- fore do not truly defire that Gods kingdome may come, becaufe they have no fenfe of their own mi- fery, &c. 3. Thofe that leek not the kingdome of God and his righteoufneffe, but fet themfelves to feek their own carnali and worldly defires. 4. Thofe magiftrates, minifters, people, that feek not the advancement of Chrifls kingdome in themfelves , contemning the word, quenching the fpirir, nor yet in others. As for thofe Magiflrates who in ftead of cherifhing the Church do perfecute it, in ftead ofadvancing Gods kingdome do deface it, ereóing fuperftition and idolatry, fuppreffing vertue, advancing vice; or thofe Minifters that de- prive the people of the food of their fouls, and like dry nurfes hunger-flarve them; or thofe men whofoever that labour to withdraw men from alle- geance unto God: all thofe oppofe themfelves to the kingdome ofgrace ; and therefore being ene- mies, in making this prayer do ask their own con - fufion.
