The thing it felfe ; that the whole man, foule and bo- die, after this fentence , is taken vp into Heauen,by the vertue ofhim that bath entred Heauen for vs and fhall there enjoy the highell top and fulneffe ofall perfe&ion for euermore. Wherefore here many things may be ob- ferued, commonfor the mof}part toboth degrees ofglo- rie, but which I faid for greatercomfort fhould fpeci- ally bee refcrued hither. I will reduce them all to foure heads.. The place where wee (hall onioy it : the glorie we fhall enioy : the meáfure of the glorie and theeter- nitie of it. This happineffe is tobe had in Heauen, which addeth no final increafe to the fulneffe orioy;which the Elea are then tohaue, both in regard of the excellencie of the Place , whereof wee haue fpoken before, being that bleffed and glorious Seate on high, the Palace of the great King, of b large reccit , and goodly dwelling zoomes , and alfo by reafon of thole great and glorious things that are nowhere tobe had but there, to wit, the prefence of Chrift, the companie and fellowfhip ofthe c Saints and holy cl Angels, and ofthofe great Affetnblies whereof the Apoille fpeaketh, Ha. 12.23. The right wee haue ofcomming to this Place , is by the vertue ofChrifts Afcenfion, as hee faith , e I foe to prepare a place for you. So Luke 23.43. bee maketh the vertue andpower of his being in Paradife, to bee the caufe ofthe Theeucs commingthither, Te day thou ,halt beewith rnee in 'Faradife : for this afcending of Chrifts, though it were in the end of theWorld , was of power fuient to openHeauen to all Beleeuers from.the be- ginning ; and vpon his afcending, all the f Church in hitn,as in their Head, afccnded with him. Therefore it is, that vpon his Inauguration to Lis Office, the Heaucns o- pened., we {hall enioy, taken vp into Heauen by the vertue of his Afcenlion. b lohn 14; I. c Mattb.8.r r. d Heb, r z.zz. e lohn Id.:3... d'lobn f Elhef.zoóà
