s.Cor.{.r. 37o The vanitieof !lately buildings. dwell therein. Which curie lieth heauie vpon many builders in there daies, though they neuer thinke vpon their burthen, who make (lately houles and neuer inhabit them, and fpend all in building, but nothing in hofpicalitie; as though the vie of building were only, like the pyramidesofEgypt,to make a glorious Phew; and as though they had no other induce- ment to be at all this charge and labour, then thole had that built the tower of Babel, that is, to threaten heauen with their houles height, and get a name vnto themfelues vpon the earth.Seeing therefore thefe fumptuous buildings are al- waies vaine and worthle(l'e, and often accompanied with finne and wickednes; let vs learne (though the world and worldlings fo highly value them) to contemneand thinke bafely of thé,lobouring tobe inhabitants of that Diuine and Angelicall habitation, which is net made with hand.ç,bgteter.. 11,n the heanens.
