88o Ofthe byes ofheaaeu. uersrewards, and a different meafure ofgloriefitted vnto them :for as al the faithful haue their part in Chrifl, and one and the fame Sauiour equally belongeth to them al, but in refpedìofthe application (howfoeuer he is truly applied to all) yet all apprehend him not alike, but fome weakely by theirlittle faith, and others more firongly by their ful per - fwafion; and according to their flrength of apprehenfiots, and diuers meafure offaith,bring forth proportionable fruits ofgood workes,godlinefi , and righteoufneffe in their hues and conuerfations: fo in like manner al the faithful haue the fame ioycs ofheauen common to them al ; but yet in regard that thofe who haue had a greater meafure of faith,and other fanblifying gifts and graces on the earth, Thal anfwerablie have a more large & (bong apprehenfion ofthefe ioyes, and haue as it were a greater and more amplecapacirie to receive and containethem,there Thal be diuersdegrees of glory and happines: euen as thofe who are at one feafl or banquet, haue all the fame meate and dainties fetbefore them,but yet haue different degrees of comfort and fruition in feeding on them,according to the goodneffe or weakenes of their fto- mackes; in which refpeel though albs equally fatisfied, yet he who hath the (harper appetite, andíironger digeflion, hath the larger+ fhare, and the fruition ofit with moli plea - fure and delight..Finally,in the inchoation and beginning of our glorification,which is in this life, when as being fanóli- fied we are endued with peace of confcience, and ioy in the holyGhofi, tyre are diuers degrees of grace, holineffe, and fpirituall ioyand comfortt, fome hauing a greater,and,fome a leffe meafure; and therefore theLord being conflant,vni- forme, and immutable in his courfes and proceedings, we may conclude,that he wil obferue the fame tenure in accom- plifhingand perfe6ling our glorification, giuing unto thofe a greater meafure, and higher degree ofglorie and happines in his .kingdome, who in this lifehad the greatdî begin - ining,and large(+ proportion of race and fanelification. But 'againfl this is obie&ed the parable of the labourers in the vineyard, where all are laid to haue equality ofreward, and the laft as well as the fira tohaue received a penie. To which
