124 Sermon 6. fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God, who a &eth in and by that Confcience. The 4th and Taft ufe is an ufe of exhortation. Seeing it is the duty of all men, and more efpecially of belie- vers, to walk fo, as in nothing they offend their Confci- ence ; we exhort you in the name of the Lord, that ye would order your converfation fo, as in nothing your Confcience may have a challenge againft you. Ye will all readily think that this is very reafonable ; and indeed, if we prevail not in this, wherein can we expe& to pre- vail with you ? We leek no more of you, but that ye would fo walk, as that, living and dying, your Confcience may not flee in your face, but may give you this refi- ll/any, that ye have aimed to keep a good Confcience in all things, and to live honefily.
