Hat I may briefly come to opento you the fumof that that I have to deliver out of this Scripture : I delire you ( be- loved in the Lord ) in fewwords, to take notice of the drift and fcope of the holy Apol}le in this place: and that is this ; The Corinth? (as it feemeth in the beginning of this chapter ) had written a Letter to Saint Pant, wherein they did propound to him divers Cafes of Confcience : and did entreat him, that he would fend his judgement, concerning :bole point?.
