9oclJ Munificence. 343 Thus I have defcribed to you this twofold lervice, thewages off:n, that isdeath, temporal, eternal : The fervice ofrighteoufnefs, the wages , and reward ofthat, eternal lift, which is not wages bat the gift of God. So that I may now fay to you as Mofes did to lfrael, Dem. 30. r9. Behold ! have fit before you life and death, turfing andbleffing. Thereforechoofe not turfing, choofe not fin, nor the wages thereof, it is death : but choofe life, that you andyour feedmay live. If we follow fin, the wages will be death; if we apply our (elves to righteoufnefs in the fervice of God, our reward (hall be eternal life, not that wedeserve it, but that it is theplea lure ofour heavenly Father to bellow itupon us. For thewages offn is death, and thegiftofGod is eternallife, through Nits Chrif oarLord. °T H E
