Come we now to the defctipl,iort of the Holy Ghofl here, as he is a Sealer. Firfl:, He is c.1lled the Spirit of Promift. Secondly, He is called the Huly Spirit. Therefore, becaufc the Holy Ghofl is the thing promifed, and that as a Sealer, we are fa id to be fealed by the Spirit of Proriuf'. And in the Second place, He is called the Spirit of Promi(e, as a Sealer; becalife he never fealeth but by a Promife, (ns I fl1all tl1ew by and by) it is ab ejjef111, Tofpeak of both tliefe. The Holy Ghoil is called the'Promije, and that as a Sealer, (that is the firil thing,) becaufe he is promifcd.
