' And fo much now for the opening of this, why Mercy and Love are here joined, and why that Love is made the foundation of his fhewing Mercy, with fuch Obfervations as arife out of it. There are two things yet behind, which are the Glory of all the refi in this Text, and that is, That this Mercy that is in God, fet on work by Love, it is a rich Mercy; and that this Love, wherewith he did from everlafiing love us, and that is the foundation of all, it is a great Love: God tbnt is rich in Mercy, for theg,·eat Love wherewith he httth loved"'· But I mull: refer that to the next Difcourfe. * SERM.
