Never forC•ke your own Merciu, it is a Speech that Jonab hath, Chap. 2. 8. And are there thefe Riches of \ Mercy in God·? Let us come lluto him. Now God is rich in Mercy, and therefore the more Riches ofMercy he hath,the more eafy he is to be inrreated. But God he is rich, and his Riches lye in Mercy, IfMens Riches Jay in Mercy, as it is a Grace, they needed not to be charged to be rich in good Works ; but God's Riches lye inMsrcJ, therefore come to him, he is eafy to oe Intreated, he giveth richly all things to enjoy, giveth freely, giveth bounufully like himfelf. · And fo much now for the opening this Head,which I have·not done Common– place-wife, as heretofore I handled it, but fo far forth as might open the Texr, and quicken our Hearts.
