And there is nothing in Man that anfwers the Promife : For this Grace bath put it felfout into Promifes ; as the Original lies in the Heart ofGod,fo he bath made a Copy out ofhimfelfin the Promifes, and nothing anfwers this but Faith. And indeed, nothing could have given the intire Glory unto Grace, but only Faith. It is ju!t as a meer Looking-Glafs, when the Sun lliines it is a glorious thing, 0 how glorious is that Looking-Glafs when it lliineth ! But what is the Glory ? It is nothing elfe but the very Sun's !hining on it: fo is Faith, and the Soul believing the Free Grace of God in Chri!t, receiveth Salvation from him. A
