Bromton Castell. My cosen Cornewell is yet with me. If you haue so much time, let Rafe tell you how the boys shut out Mr. Ballam out of scoule. I was very glad that your brothers weare not with them. XCIII. For my deare sonne Mr. Edward Harley. My deare Ned -I hope this letter will finde you with your father : now I thinke it longe sence I hard from you ; for this weake as yet I haue not hard. Send me word wheather my brother be in Loun- doun, and how he does. Now your father and you are from me, my contentment is in the happy proseedings of the parlament, which makes a mend for your fathers longe absence. I longe to see him, and I hope in due time I shall inioy that comfort of seeing you both. I beleefe by this, you are somethinge aquanted with Lon- doun, and, deare Ned, send me word how you like it. Yesterday wee keepe a priuet day ; Mr. Gower, Mr. Yaits, Mr. Steuenson, Mr. Voile, and Mr. More, were at it. Mr. More's wife is very ill, as she was vsed to be, a shakeing all over her. I thanke God your brothers and sisters are well, and I am indeferent well ; but it has bine extreme coold weather. I pray God blles you, and make you to see and finde that there is more sweetness in the seruis of God then in all the pleashurs of the world ; and be aschured that I gladly will sheaw meself Your most affectinat mother, BRILLIANA HARLEY.
