Deare Ned-Had I not this weake reseued a letter from c" by which I heare you and your father were well, I should haue bine very much trubelled; for this weake I haue reseued no letter from your father, nor from you. I know you are careful to rwite to me, becaus you know what a comfort it is to me; thearefore I beleeue your letter has miscarried. I very much desire to heare how the afihires goo ; for I thinke theaire was neuer a more doutfull crisise; but it is the Lord who hoolds the bridell vpon all men, so that they cannot doo what they desire, but in aduancing at theare owne endes, they still bringe to pas the Lords work.
