I sent to Heariford to let them know that I hard that my lord Scid- mors sonne would stande for the burgesshp, and then I did not further desire it for you ; but gaue them many thankes for theare good will to you, and desired if my lords sonne did not stand, that then they would giue you theare vosies, which they then promised they would, and tooke my thankes very well.
