At Loudlow they abused Mr Bauges sonne very much, and are so insolent that they durst not leaue theare howes to come to the fast. I acknowledg I doo not thinke meselfsafe wheare I am. I loos the comfort of your fathers company, and am in but littell safety, but that my trust is in God ; and what is doun in your fathers estate pleasess him not, so that I wisch meselfe, with all my hart, at Loundoun, and then your father might be a wittnes of what is spent; but if your father thinke it beest for me to be in the cuntry, I am every well pleased with what he shall thinke beest.
