34 The Kèafonablenef We think it our duty to continue the Publick Exercife of our Miniflry, be- caufe Sundry of the Eflablifhed Miniflers are infufficient and unqualified. I confefs I know not well what You mean in this Place by infufficient, and unqualified. But I think You cannot mean that they are Evil, or Wicked; becaufe it is your opinion that the Mi. nifiry offuck may be ufed both in hearing the Word of God, and in receiving of the Sacraments ; and that with Profit, ' if the People be not wanting to themfelves. And if their Miniflry may be ufed with Profit; then the Cafe of the People under fuck Miniflers is not, in your account, fo defperate, as to make yóur public, .4juflance a neceffary remedy. And if it be not necefíary, it ought not tó be continued. That this is your opinion, I conclude from your fd fcribing, amongft others, the Twenty fixth Article of our Church, Entituled, Ofthe Unworthinefs of the Mini(lers, which hinders not the Effect of the Sacraments; and from your fo fre- quent inveighing againft any, whom You imagine to have made light of, and to have played with fubfcriptions.
