You will hardly fay, that in a Chriflian Country, where there is a Church, in which are all things fufficient for the People's Edification, and Salvation, and nothing deflrutive of them ; (fuch, if I be not miflaken, you have allowed the Church of England to be) you will hardly lay, that there is the fame neceflity for your Publick Preaching in fiieh a Country, as there was for St. Peter, and St. yohn, St. Paul, and Timothy, their propagating the Gofpel; as there was for their preach- y ing yefus Chrift to thole who could never have heard of him without them, and looking after thole Churches of Con- verted Perfons, which muff have perifhed, and vanifhed without their Care. You will hardly fay, that becaufe there was a neceffity upon St. Paul, and St. Peter, to plant the Chriflian Religion, where it would not have been without their preaching ; Therefore, there is a neceflity upon you to preach, where it is as well, and as efFeaually taught as you can teach it.
