And what I have to fay under this Head I shall addrefs to You ( though it do not fo immediately refpet You, as the former two) becaufe You, indeed, are the chief Maintainersof the feparation ; becaufeYou have pleaded the caufe of the People, and put thefe Arguments into their Mouths; becaufe You have furnilhed them with their objections againft Conformity, and kept up their prejudices againft theChurch of England; becaufe You have very great intereft with them , and a very great authority, and influence over them ; and confequently, as You have been their Guides, and fupports, in their departure from Us, fo You may, upon maturer confederation, prove fuccefsful, and hap- py inftruments in the Uniting them to Us again, to the Glory of God, and the increafe of Peace and Love amongft Us ; and, lafily, becaufe many of the Argu- ments offered for them, belong in common to You both, and under fome of them, I Ihall have occafion to fpeak to You, and Your own Prattice.
