Is his Obligation to look after the Conflitution of a Church, and to fee that every thing in it be as exactly and nicely order'd, as He in his private judgment wilhes it to be; I fay, Is this Obligation ever to takeplace ofthe other And would He that reads the Gofpel feri- oufly, imagine it to be the Duty of a Chriftian, or worth his while'to quit his regards to Unity and Love, in order to ready fomewhat that He thinks amifs in a Church, in which he meets with all things neceffary to his Salvation, and nothing def}ruaive ofit; and in the Com. munion of which, He knows, he can live and die a good Chriftian. Can any Chriflian that is fenfible what a firers is laid upon Charity, andPeace, in that Law by which he is to bejudged, induce him- felf to neglea the promotion of thefe, even for one day ; and think it recom- pence enough to his Lord, that He hath tome hopes this way of adding to the perfection of one particular Church ? What is moreedifying to his Church than Charity? And what more conduceth to the Beauty and Splendour of it than the Loving
