This is another Reafon, why it cannot be the duty of Chriflians to give fuch Encour- agement to all the differing ways of l47orjhip amongft Ci. i(li ns becaufe it is the Duty of Chri/li.at s to conluir the Peace of the Chrif Nan Church.- And whether this be moff likely to be done, by Conformity to a lawful E/lablijbed Church, or by an indifferent Encourage- ment of all the feveral Churches amongft us, let any one judge.. Our Duty is to do all lawful Things, for the fake of Peace, and to promote Love amongft Chriflians: And yet many amongií us aa, as if they thought it their Duty to do every thing poffible, in order to encourage Divifons, and Hatred, in the Chri/lian Church. Why elfe, do they rather chufe to fïnd out filch new Du- ties in the Card /pel, never heard of be- fore ,in the Chri/lian Church, than to praEife the old ? And why do they refufe to walk in that Path, which leads plainly, and direaly, to greater Degrees of 'Unity, and Concord? A true Chrilian Spirit cannot dire& us to fuch
