As withal, it being confider'd what Relation the Spirit bears to Chrifl, as he is Emmanuel and Mediator be- tween God, and Mani it evidently thews the neceffity of his being confii- tuted and made filch, in order to the Spirit's part herein, V. God's own judgment is the fureft meafure to dire& ours of what was ne- ceffary, in this Cafe. And fo far as the Ground of his yudgment is, by hirnfelf, made vifible to us, we are neither to put out our own Eyes, nor turn them away from beholding it. We are to reckon it alwaysfafe, and nzadeli, tofollow him, by an obfequi- ous, du&ile Judgment of things appa rent, and which he offers to our view, or appeals to us about them. To go before him, by a preventive judgment of the fecret things that belong to him, or pretend togive Reafons, or an Account of his Matters, where he gives none himlelf, argues Rathneis, Arrogance, and Self-confidence, whereof we can give no Account.
