Jfa.6i.3. ritual Beauty is a precious Thing, but what are Afhes worth ? What are our Duties ? Our Faftings and Prayer and Humiliations ? Why, of no moreworth then a little Afhes ? Yet here is Beauty returned for Afhes ; yea, Beauty on the Soul, Glorious Beauty ! 2. And the Oyl of 5oy for Mourning'; we mourn andweep for our Sins ; well, and pray what are a few Tears good for? Are thefe of any worth in themfelves ? No certainly Yet Chrift makes returns of the Oyl of Soy for this Mourning, or in lieu of thefe Tears, even the Holy Spirit which fills the Soul with Joy and Comfort. '3. And the Garment of praie, for the Spirit of Heavinefs Chrift approves of Sadnefs of Heart that rifes from that Senfe we have of that Unworthinefs that is in us, and of that Difhonour which is -done to him ; But how little Worth is there in this Heavinefs, as in it felf?
