fa; ei obcnant of Prate Opencti+ in the fire- Adam, or as in theirFilthinefs, for as fuch he hates and loaths them, but as he looks upon any Perfons in Chrif , fohe loves them, and is at Peace, and well pleafed with them ; God fees not as Man fees, for he fees a ManCondemned and Juftified at one and the fame time ; nay, as being in this World, and yet as being in the World to come, but what- ever fight of Things, or of Perlons God bath, or howwe are lookt upon and Juftified in his fight in Chrift, is one thing, and what the State of Perfons are(or what Things and Per- fons may be faid to be) as they aaually are, or when they aaually exift, (or in a proper Senfe and Acceptation) is another thing ; for it is ridicutou6 to fay, That a Man in a proper Senfe is aaually or perfonally Condemned and Juftified, Dead and yet Alive at one and the fame time, or is in the firft Adam, and yet in the fcond, or in a State of Wrath, and yet in State of Grace, at one and the fame mo- ment : Nay, and dangerous it is for any to fay, that a wicked Man whilft he is fo, is an Objea of God's Delight, or that fuch a Perfon is aaually Juftified, and that God is at Peace, and well pleafedwith him, it being fo direh- ly contrary to the Teftimonyof God's Word, and the Witnefs of the Divine Spirit. The Sum therefore of what I fay and mean is this : When I fay God in Chrift is Reconciled to Sinners, viz. God having chofen his Elea in Chrift from Eternity, was Reconciled to them in him as the Way and Means of the Procure- ment of their Peace, or of their Recovery out of
