There is no other Phyfician but Chrifr, neither is Salvation in any other: For there is no oilier Name given under Heaven, whereby we can be Javed, Ails iv. 12. 4· Chrifr is a Phylician ready upon every Invitation; nay, he comes without fend– ing for, is now knocking at the Door, Rev. iii. 20. 5· He will make an abfolute and perfect Cure of it, if he undertakes the 'vVark, before he leaves thee. 6. Belides, thou mayefr have him though thou hall: no Money, no Righteoufnefs, nothing to bring or offer to him as a fpiritua\ Prefent, !Ja. \v. t, 2. 7· Chrif\: cures all that come to him, whatfoever the Difremper be, he hath an uni– verfal Medicine, with which he infallibly cures all Sickneffes, Difeafes, and Wounds of the Soul, (fave one, viz. the Sin againf\: the Holy-Ghof\:.) If Chrif\: be fuch a Phyfician as you have heard, how inexcufable will all vile and wilful Sinners be found, that perilh in their Blood, and refufe to come to him ? C A U T 0 N S. I. Take heed you do not delay feeking out for Help. Some, when they are lick; never mind going to a Phyfician, until! Nature is decayed, and the :Difeafe has feized on them in fuch fort, that it is too late, there is no help; fo do fome Sinners: Did not 'jerufalem do thus? , . II. Take heed you make ufe of no other Phylie1an. There are many that boaO: of their Skill, how good they are at curing of Souls ; beware of them, they privily bring in damnable Errors, even denying the Lord that bought them, an<1 bring upon them– felves fwift Def\:ruction, 2 Pet. ii. r. Thefe are like deceitful Q<lacks, and Impof\:ors, that defign to make Merchandize of you. Remember, their Medicines are poifon– ous and def\:ruC1:ive. HI. Value not Womens Advice too high. Eve lof\: her Skill in the Garden, and ]earned little afterwards. The Apocalyprical Woman of Rome, like many old Wives, would fain be tampering with rhe Sick ; but above all take heed of her, for !he (like the adulterous Woman Solomon fpeaks of) hathflain and killed many, yea mm~.y a ftrong Man hach been caft down by her : Her Way is the Way to Hell, tending down to the Cham– bers of D'ath, Prov. vii. 26, 27. Take heed you rob not Chriil: of his Honor which is due to him as a Phyfician; which may be done two ways. 1 • When we attribute the Cure to our own lnduf\ry, to Skill and Power of our own, or to Duties, &c. 2 . Wilen we attribute our Help and Cure to Inihuments, to Minif\:ers, &c.· V. If thou art made whole by Chrif\:, take heed of a Relapfe. Sin no more, faith Chrifl:, left a worfe Thing come upon tbee•.
