From hence we may alfo fee, how firm and fure the Covenant of Grace is made to all the true Seed, and faithful Children of God. 3· And let all the Friends and Legatees of J efus Chrifr know, that their Rioht and Tide to fpiritual and eternal Bldfednefs is of abfolute Grace, and mere Pleafure of the Tefrator. 4· And what caufe have we to praife the Name of God in Chrifr, who hath pub– litbed and made known his lafr W ill and Teframent unto the Sons of Men? Moreover, let all fuch tremble, that adventure to alter, add to, or diminitb from any Thing that is left in Chrift's lafr Will and T cftament; the Plagues of God, with: Out Repentance, are like to be their Portion for ever. 7· Furthermore, from hence you may fee wha! Reafon we have to examine what is preached for Doctrine, or publitbed by any Man as the Mind of Chrift; for if it be not written or found in his lafr Will and Teftamenr, we ought utterly to reject it, thouoh an A ngel from Heaven tbould preach it.-Whatever is affirmed to be an Ordinance ';,f Chrift's, if it be not, nor cannot be naturally inferred, without Abufe or W rang to the T ext, let tt be abhorred and contemned by us. 8. This affords much Comfort to the Godly, whofe Names are written in this Tef– tament, and in the Lamb's Book of Life.
