THE Lion is cruel, blood-fucking,proud,preying,ftony-heart– ed, malicious, aDevourerofFlocks and Herds, the very Tyrant of lleafts. PARALLEL. XIII. The Lord Jefus is full of Clemency, Compaffion, and Tendernefs of Bowels to all that humble themfelves at his Feet. He refifteth the Pro,.d, (and will tear them in Pieces) but giveth Grace to the Humble, James iv. 6. XIV. Sampfon's Riddle is unfolded beft in the llain Body of the Lion of the Tribe of Judah l from thence comes all the Honey, the Sweetnefs of Grace and Glory. XV. None can deliver themfelves out of Chrift's Hand, when he rifes up for the Prey. XVI. That Perfon, whofoever he be, who ap– plieth Chrift's Blood by Faith, or have every Fa– culty of his Soul, viz. the whole Man bathed therein, fhall never be deftroyed by the Devil, nor the Powers of Darknefs. LET the Ungodly tremble, who think Chrift Jefus will never appear as a Lion, but always Jhew himfelf in his Lamb-like Difpofition. Chrift is a Lion as well as a Lamb, and will ere long rife up to the Prey. . 2. What will become of the Murtherers and Deftroyers of his Church, in the Day of his fierce Wrath, when he comes to make lnquifiticin for Blood? 3· 0 that Sinners from hence would learn to proftrate themfelves at his Feet! 4· This fpeaks much Comfort to the Godly; he is full of Bowels, and like a Lion, able to defend and deliver them. 5.
