BY the Lamb is meant JESUS CHRIST, which is evident and indifputable; the Dignity to which he is advanced is the higheft among the Sons of Men, Potentate, Son or Man of Power, King of Kings, &c. There is no higher Name or Title to fet forth Dignity amongft Men, than Kings or mighty Potentates. It is one of the Titles of the Moft High, the God of this blelfed Lamb, and indeed it originally be– longs to him, but be is pleafed to bequeath it unto Men, for which reafon they are called Gods on Eanh: I [aid, re are Gods, but you /hall die like Men, a;;d fall like the mortal Princes. God is in the Congregation, hejudgeth among the Gods. This King, in– vifible, immortal, the only wife God, hath chofen a Vicegerent to reprefent him to his Subjects, hath placed his Name in him, not onlyWonderful, Counfellor, and the Man that is his Fel!~w, but as King, the chief of Titles in this lower World. By this the royal and moft renowned Branch, that ever fprang from the Loins of Jef!e and David, is fet forth. Upon which we note, That JESUS, the Lamb of God, is compared to, and reprefented by the moft magnificent Title ot King, the highefl: and chiefetl of Kings• .And incleed there is nothing doth more fully fet forth the Glory, Power, and Splendor of Chrifl:, than this; as will appear, if we confider thefe following Particulars.
