THE Spirit fofrens a bard Heart, affwageth and bnngs down thofe obdurate and hard Swel!ings of Pndc and vain Glory, which natu– rally are in rhe Souls of Men and \Vomen, making them willing and pliable to the Will of God. The Spirit opens the Heart, and fearcheth into ~very Corner thereof; it is laid to fearch all Things: There is no Sin nor fecret Corruption, but it will find it out; and when it hath foftened and mollified the Heart and Confcience, it cloth in a gracious Manner ho::-al it.
