Watchmen are cot to Oeep, nor give W.ay to fl umber ; they -mull: be awake when others fieep, .to fee ,vhat Dangers are near, &c. 1IL 'Watchmen are to giv.e warn– ing, if they fee Evil coming; hence they ought to have a good Eye– fight ; a blind Man is not fit to be a Watchman. IL So the Miniflers of the Gofpel muft not be fleepy and flor hful; they are to be upon the Watch-Tower, to fee what Danger approacheth, or is coming upon the Church and People of God. , IlL So Minifters, or Chrift's fpirirual Watch· men, muft give warning, when they fee Danger approaching, and therefore had need be Men of Knowledge: 'They are called Seers; if they have no Eyes, they cannot be calkd Seers. Mini!l:ers had need be like Argus, whom Poets fay had an bundred Eyes; they fhould be full of Eyes, like the living Creatures about the Throne, to fee before them, and behind them, that fa tbey may perceive dearly every Thing thac
