The Gofpel of the Burnt-Offering. 209 is both the Sacrifice and the Prieft, and the Altar; he is all in all Go with hit into the Prefence of God, and prefent him to the Lord by Faith : And thisSacrifice that he bath offered íliall be accepted for thee, to make Atonement for thee, for thy Sin whatever it be, and it fnall be forgiven thee. Vfe 4. Vnfpeakable Confolation unto themwho have taken this Courfe, and have fled for Refuge thither ; here is Peace and Comfort under the Guilt of Sin, of what Kind foever. Two things may quiet any Man's Confcience, under thereateff Guilt. r. Is there not a fufficient Sacrifice ? Is there not Satisfa&ion ánd Atonement, in the Blood of Chrift ? Is not this a fufficient ..Sacri- fice? 2. Is k not thine ? This, I know, Unbelief is apt to ftagger at. Bet therefore do but lay thy Hand upon the Headof the Sacrifice, confefsïhy Sins over the Head of thy Burnt-Offering, lay thy Burthens upon him by Faith, and he is thine, and all that he bath done and fuffered was for thee, and (hall be as effe&ual for thy Good, as available and effe&ual with the Lord for thee, as if thou thy felf hadft fuffered, yea, infinitely more. See Verf. 4. He(hall put his Hand upon the Head of the Burnt-Offering, and it ¡hall be acceptedfor him, to make Atonement for him. The Apoftie faith, we have received the Atonement, Rom. . I I. and he infilts upon this Notion of receiving, Verf. 17. receive a- bundance of Grace, and the gift of Righteoufnef. Now this is done by Faith and what is the effe& of this ?
