The Meat-Offering did refer to what was future, the Lord's Supper to what is pall That was a prefiguration of the true Sacrifice; the Lord's Supper is a Commemoration of it. In the Meat- Offering the Wine was only poured forth before the Lord : But in the Lord's Supper, the Com- municants are to drink it. Drink ye all of it, Mat 26. 27. In a word, that was a Type ; this a Sacrament. 4. There is a fourth Duty which the Sacrifice of the Meat-Offering may refer to, and that is, Alms, Bounty and Liberality to the Saints, and to the Poor. This is a true Sacrifice, and a Gofpel Meat-Offering. The Apoftle feems to fpeak of it under fuch a Notion : Heb. 13. 16.
