Our publick Meeting-places for Worfhip have not any fuch facred Symbols of God's Pretence, as the Temple had, the Ark, the Altar,, &c. neither have they any filch extraordinary vifible Appearances of the Divine Majefty and Glory, as the Temple had upon fpecial Oc- casons: Neither have they that typical Refpe& unto Chrift and Gof- pel-myfteries ; neither are they parts of Worfhip or Ordinances ; nor bath God annexed his Worfhip to them. He hath no way feparated or let them apart unto himfelf, as his own peculiar : Therefore there is no pretence for Holinefs in them. Inftr. 2. The fecond Inftru&ion is this ; Learñ to pretext your Wor- Jhip unto God by Yefus Chrift ; for he is the true Temple, and Taber< nade, as bathbeen [hewed. Levit. 17. i, 2, 3,4,556,7.
