The first lnftitution of this holy Vefl'el was in Exod. 25. to, etc. An Ark] or a facred Cheft, ver. to. A Cubit is about a Foot and an Half our Meafure fo that it was between three and four Foot long : The height and breadth equal, a Cubit, and an half. Ver. t i. Overlaid with Gold] for the matter was Shittim-Wood. This was an intimation of the fpiritual Excellency and Precioufnefs of the Myftery hereby adumbrated. Ver. i I. This Rod brought forth Fruit, ver. 8. And the Almond-Tree is a fruitful Tree. The Miniftry is and fhould be fruitful for Converfion ; and therefore it is lawful to Preach any where, to any Body. Go and Preach the Gofel to every Creature : And for Edification and building up fuch as are Converted and brought Home. 2. The Almond-Tree is very early in its Fruit.
