That fuch as are chofen or appointed for the fervice of the army or navy, being well recommended, be ordained as aforefaid, by the .af– fociated minifters of London, or fome others in the country; and the hke for any other congregations that want a minifter. According to this advice the two houfes palfed an ordinance, OClober 2. for the ordination of minifters pro tempore, which appoints the fol– lowing ten perfons, being prefbyters and members af the alfembly, to examine and ordain, by impofition of hands, all thofe whom they !hall judge qualified to be admitted into the facred miniftry, (viz.) Dr. Cornelius Burgefs, AJ/1for, Dr. William Gouge, Mr. John Ley, Mr. George Walker, Mr. Edmund Calamy, Mr. Starkey Cower, Mr. John Conant, Mr. Humphery Chambers, Mr. Henry Roborough, Mr. Dan. Cooke, Any feven or more to be a quorum, and all perfons fo ordained, to be reputed minifters of the church of England, fufficien tly authorized for any office or employment therein, and capable of all advantages apper– taining to thefame. Their rules for examination and trial of candidates will be feen the next year, when this affair was fully fettled.
