Still it is fuppofed that the Glory ofGod, as eifentially in him is in·vifible unto us, and incomprehenfible by us. Yet is there a knowleclg of it neceifary unto us, that we may liv~ unto him, and come unto the Enjoymentofhim. ' , It may be fa id, that the Scripture it felf is fuflicient for this End of the Declaration ofGod unto us, fothat there is no need of any other Reprefentation ofhim;and thefe things ferve only to turn the minds ofmen from learning the 1\tiind and \Vill of God therein, to feek for all in the Perfon of Chrifi:. But the true End of propofing thefe things, is to draw men unto the diligent Study of the Scripture, wherein alone they are K 2 revealed
