_ andfol!oJJJ,·ng !Jis Example.' 2 2' I' Secondly, The following the Example of Chrifl in all Du– ties towards God and men, in his whole converfation on the Earth, is the fecond part ofthe Infiance now given concerning the ufe ofthe Perfon of Chrifi in Religion. ·fhe field is large which here lies before us, and filled with numberlefs blefied Infiances : I cannot here enter into it ; and the mifiakes that have been in a pretence unto it, requires that it fhould be handled difiinfrly and at large hy it felt~ which, if God will, may be done m due time. One or two general Infiances wherein he was mofr eminently our Example, :!hall clofe this Difcourfe. I. His Meeknefs, Lowlinefs of mind, Condefcenjion unto all forts ~erfons; his Love and Kindnefs unto Mank~nd, his Readinefs to do good unto all, with Patience and Forbea– rance, are continually fet cefore· us in his Example.
