We are proceeding on this fuppo.!ition, that there was a · conclecency unto the holy PerfeCtions of the Divine Nature, that Mankind fhould be refrored, or fome portion of it reco– vered untb the enjoyment of himfelf; fo Angelica! Nature was preferved unto the fame end in. thofe that did not fin. And we have fhewed the general Grounds whereon it is . irn~ poffible that fallen man 1hould refrore or recover himfelf. Wherefore we mufl: in the next place enquire what is necef– fary unto fuch a Reflaaration, on the account ofthat concern– ment of the Divine Excellencies in the Sin and Apofrafy of _man, which wehavefiated before.
