Chrift. Fie may be Paid to be our legal. Righteoufnefs, but our Evangelical he is not. And fo far as we are Righteous with any Righteoufnefs, fo far we are juftified by it. For according unto this Evangelical Righteoufnefs, we mutt be tried 5- if we have it we Ihall be acquitted, and if we have it not, we (hall be condemned.. There is therefore a Juttifi cation according unto it. I anfwer. (i) According to force Authors or Maintai- ners of this, Opinion, I fee not but that the Lord Chrift is as much our Evangelical Righteoufnefs as he is our Legal. For our Legal Righteoufnefs he is not in their Judgment, by a proper Imputation of his Righteoufnefs : unto, us, but by the Communication of the fruits of what he did and fuffe ed:unto us. God bath not appointed this Perfonal Righteoufnef iñ t order unto our Juftification before him in this life; though he have appointed it, to evidence our Juftification before others, and even in his fight, as thall be declared.
