2 5 2 The Grounds of thelmputation, &c. 2. The Lord Chrift as unto the nature which he was to aíiüme, was hereon predeflinated unto Grace and Glory. He was arepsyv.cthiv©- fore - ordained, predeftinated, before the foundation of the World; t Pet. I. 2o. That is, he was fo as unto his Office, fo unto all the Grace and Glory required thereunto, and confequent thereon. All the Grace and Glory of the Humane Nature of Chrift, was an effe& of free Divine preordination. God chofe it from all Eternity, unto a participation of all which it received in time.Neither can any other caufe of the Glorious Exaltation of that por tion of our nature, be afgned. 3. This Grace and Glory whereunto he was preordained, was twofold. ( ) That which was peculiar unto himfelf; (2 ) That which was to be Communicated, by and through him unto. the Church. Full of Grace. and Truth. And all his perfonal Glory, Power, Authority, and Majefty as Mediator in his Exaltation at the right hand of God, which is expreffive of them all, doth belong here- unto.
