Arguments for yul ificat on by the I fhall briefly add two or three confederations excluding this per fonal Righteoufnefs from its pretended intereft in our Juftification, and dole this Argument. x. That Righteoufnefwhich neither anfwereth the Law of God, . nor the end of God in our yuflifiëátion by the Goffiel, is not that whereon we are yu.ftified. But fuch is this inherent Righ- teoufnefs of Believers, even of the belt of, them. (t) That it anfwereth not the Law of God, hath been proved from its Imperfe &ion. Nor will any fober perfQn pretend that it ex- a&ly and perfe &ly fulfills the Law of. our Creation. And this Law cannot be difanulled whilft the Relation of Creator., and Rewarder on the one hand, and . of Creatures capable of Obedience and Rewards on the other between God and us doth continue. Wherefore that which anfwereth not this Law will not jufifie us.. For God will not abrogate that Law, that the Tranfgreffors of it may be juítified.
