366 The Imputation of the obedience of Chrifi for and surety unto the whole Law of God, was for himfelf a- lone, and not for us 5 or that what he did therein, was not that he might be the end of the Law for Righteoufnefs unto them that do believe, nor a means of the fulfilling of the Iighteoufnefs of the Law in us ; efpecially confidering, that the Faith of the Church is, That he was given to us, born to us 5 that for us Men, and for our falvation he came down from Heaven, and did, and fuffered what was required of him. But whereas force whodeny the Imputation of the Obedience of Chrift, unto us for our Juftification, do ínfi(t principally on the fecond thing mentioned, namely, the unufefulnefs of ir, I (hall under this firft part of the charge, confider only the Arguings of socinua, which is the whole of what force at prefent do indeavor to perplex the truthwithal.
