This therefore is the Law which our Lord Chrift affirms that he came, not to defiroy 5 fo he exprefly declares in his enfuing difcourfe , fhewíng both its Power of obliging us always unto Obedience, and giving an Expofition of it. So the Apoftle ufeth the fame Expreífion, Rom: 13.8. he that lover!) another, hathfulfilled the Law. It is a vain exception that Chrift fulfilled the Law by his Marine, in the Expofition of it. And our Saviour himfelf expounds this fulfilling of the Law, by doing the Commands of it,v.19. Wherefore the Lord Chrift as our Mediator and. Surety ful- filling the Law by yielding perfect Obedience thereunto,_ he did itfor us, and taus it is imputed. This is plainly affirmed by the Apoftl.e, Rom. 5. 18, 19. There-
