Hat which remaineth to put an ¡ale to this Dircourk, is the confideration of fome things, that in general are laid in obje6tion againft the truth pleaded for. Many things of that nature we have occafionally met withal, and already removed. Yea, the principal of thofe which at prefent are molt infifted on. The Teftimonies of Scripture urged by thofe of the Roman Church for Juftification by works, have all of them fo fully and frequently been anfwered by Prote- flant Divines, that it is altogether needlefs to infift again upon them, unlefs they had received fome new inforcement, which of late they have not done. That which for the moft part we have now to do withal, are rather Sophipacat cavils from fuppofed abfurd confequences, then real Theologi- cal arguments. And fome of thofe who would walk with molt warinefs between the imputation of the Righteoufnefi of Chrift and Juftification by our own works, either are in fuch a flippery place, that they feem fometimes to be on the one fide, fometimes onthe other, or elfe to exprefs' themfelves with fo much caution as it is very difficult to apprehend their minds.
