Sundry other confiderations I thought to have added un- to the fame purpofe ; And to have (hewed (z ) That to prove the neceffity of inherent Righteaufnefs, and Holinefs, we make life of the Arguments which are fuggefled unto us in the Scripture. (2 ) That we make nfe of all of them in the fenfe wherein and unto the ends for which they are urg- ed therein, in perfet compliance with what we teach con- cerning Juffification. ( 3 ) That all the pretended Arguments or motives for and unto Evangelical Holinefs which are in- confifient withthe Imputation of the Righteoufnefs of thrift, do indeed obitru& it and evert it. (4 ) That the Holinefs . which we make neceffary unto the Salvation of them that, believe is. of : a more excellent fublimc and. Heavenly nature in its caufes, efience, operations, and effe&s, than what is al° lowed or believed by the moll of thofe by whom the Do -._ ûrine of Juílification is oppofed. ( 5 ) That the Holinefs. and Righteoufnefs which is pleaded for by. the Socinians and thole that follow them, loth in . nothing exceed the Righte- oufnefs of the Scribes and Pharifèes, nor upon their principles can any mango beyond them.
