But if men will be froward, and becaufe they May not make Laws themfelves, or keep the Statutes made by others, will neglect the due Obfervation and Execution of what Chrift bath ordained ; or will deny, that we may, and ought, in, and for the due Obfervation of his Laws, to make ufè of the inbred Light ofNature, and Rules ofcom- mon Prudence (the Ufe and Exercife of both which, are in- cluded-and enjoyned in the Commands of Chrift, in that he requires a Compliance with them in the way of Obedience, which we cannot performwithout them) I know ofno Re- lief, againft the Perpetuity of our Differences about thefe things.
