For with-holding Church Communion from fuch Societies as are not Churches, is a new kind ofSchifine, unknown to all Antiquity. And for that which takes it Pelf to be a Church by a divine war- ranty, fuppofe it be fo, to command confiant compleat Communion, exclufive unto all other Church Commu- nion, with that or them which are no Chxrches, deter- mininga refufal thereof to be Schifine, is to undertake a Caufe which needs not only great Parts, but great Po- wer alto to defend it. But let thefe Parochial Affimblies beefteemed Churches, without a fuppofition whereof; I knownot what Eccle- fiailical concernment we can have in them ; three things will be Paid thereon ; (i.) That theChurch ofEngland (as in other things) fo in there 'Parochial .4ffemblies fiands in need ofRefor- mation. S (2.) That they neither do, nor will, nor can Reform themfeelves. (3.) On this fuppofition, it is lawful for any ofthe Difciples of Chrift, to yeild Obedience unto him by joyning infuch Societies for their Edification as he hath appointed ; which is the whole of the Caufe in hand.
