The Places, inScope, Defign, and man- ner of Expreffion, are Parallel. For this is plainly, that which he pleads for in this Context; namely, that Juflification and Sanflification are to be obtained alone through Chrift and Faith in him by the Gofpel, with- out the leaft Aid and Afíìftance from the things that were in Difference among them. Wherefore not far- ther to contend in fo plain a Matter, the Rule here in- tended by the Apofile, is noBook, ofCanons, but the .analogy of Faith, or the Rule ofFaith in Chrift as de- clared in the Gofpel, in oppofition unto all other ways and means ofJuftification, Sannification and Salvation, which we ought to walk in a Compliance withal, and that with Love and Forbearance towards them that in things not Corruptive or Deftrunive of this Rule, do differr from us.
