Pantings, brt"::i.tflings, fighings,groanings, in prayer, in mediations, in the fecret rece!fes of our minds , are the life of it. How"ver_it is continually preffing towards him. But it obtains not its point , it comes not to its center and Reft in this world. BUT now above , all things are clear and fe.. rene ; all plain and evident in our beholding the Glory of Chrift ; we fhall be ever ·witb him, and fee him as he is. This is Heaven, this is Bleffednefs, this is eternal reft. THE Perfon of Chriff in a1i his Glory £hall be continually before us; and the eyes of our un ~ derfi:andings {hall be fo gloriouf1y illuminated, as that we £hall be able fteadily to behold and comprehend that Glory. BUT alas l here at prefent our ·minds recoil, our medirations tail, our hearrs are overconf~, our thoughts confnfed, and car eyes turn . afide fi:om the lufhe of this glory ; nor can we abide in the contemplation of it. But there, an immediate, confi:ant view of it, will bring in everlaiting refrdhment and joy unto our whole fouls. THIS
