The nature ofpurchafed grace; referred to three beads. a. Ofour accepta- tion with God. Two parts of it. Of the grace of fanffification. The feveral pares of it. HE fountain of that purchafed grace, wherein the faints have communion withChrift, being difcovered, in the next place the nature of this grace it felf may be confider- ed. As was faid, it may be referred unto three heads. T. Grace of acceptation with God. 2. Grace of fan&ification from God. 3. Grace of privileges with, and before God. t. Of acceptation with God; out of Chrift we are in a hate of aliena- tion from God, (a) accepted neither in our perfons, nor our fervices. Sin snakes a feparation between God and us, that Bate, with all its confequen- ces, and attendences, is not my bufinefs to unfold. The firs iffue of pur- chafed grace, is to reftore us into a Bate of acceptation; and this is done two ways. (i.) By a removal of that for which we are refufed, the caufe of the enmity, (s.)
