If the Lord be phafed to carry on your Souls thus far, then ffirr up your felver, to choofe and clofe with the way of fur- givenef; that bath been revealed. Choofe it only, choofe it in compirilon with, and oppofition unto all others. Say you will be for Chritl, and not for another, and be fo accordingly, Here venture, here repot,, here red your Souls. It is a way of peaco, fafety, Holynefl, beauty, iirength, power, liberty, and glory; you have the Nature, the Name, the Love, the Purpo- fes, the Promifes, theCovenant, the Oath" of God ; the Love, Life, Death, or Blood, the Mediation, or Oblation and Inter- ceflion of Jefus Chriff S The Power and Efficacy of the Spirit, and Gofpel Grace by him adminiftred, to give you Affurance of the excellency, the onenef1, the fafety of the Way, whereunto you are engaging. If now the Lord (hall be pleafed to perfwade your hearts, and fouls, to enter upon the path markzd out before you, and (hall carry you on through the various exerciJes of it, unto this clofure of Faith, God will have the Glory, the Gofpel will be Exalted, and your own Souls (hall reap the Eternal benefit of this Exhortation. But now if notwithtlanding all that bath beenfpoken, all the Invitations you have had, and Inc)uragements that have been held out unto you, you (hall continue to defpife this fogreat falvation, you will live and dye in the Rate and condition wherein you are; why then as the Prophet laid to the Wife of jeroboam, Come neer, for I am lent unto you with heavy Ty- dings.
